One of Zurich’s most famous landmarks, the Grossmünster, is the city’s Cathedral, which is believed to be of Carolingian origin. Its building began in 1090 AC and was not completed until the 1230 AC.
Its unique dual towers and the remains of its Romanesque cloister along with sculptures of the late twelfth century AC can be seen.
Today, the Grossmümster is home for the Theological Faculty of the University.
