The Swiss Museum of Transport (Swiss German: Verkehrshaus) is Switzerland’s most famous museum and has many attractions to offer for the whole family. Its aim is to to present the past, present and future of transport on land, air and sea such as the essentials of communication. For this purpose the museum has more than 3,000 displays dispersed over 20,000 square meters. That is not all, there are special theme presentations and exhibitions, a planetarium and an IMAX cinema projecting wonderful panoramic films. A collection of Hans Arni paintings, sculptures and drawings related to technology are also exposed permanently.
