How can you stay in Geneva and not visit the famous Jet d’Eau? You simply cannot miss the world’s biggest water fountain located right in the middle of the city, in a place called “La rade“.
The majestic fountain exists already since the nineteenth century and with the time it became a major touristic attraction and at the same time the symbol of Geneva. It is impressively high, 140 metres, and it is propelling 500 litres of water per second at a speed of 200 kilometres per hour.
You can best view the Jet d’Eau from the Quai du Général-Guisan and if you travel by plane to Geneva, do not forget to take a look out of the plane window right before landing or just after take-off, as it can already be seen from the sky.
Have your photo taken in front of the fountain and make it an unforgettable souvenir of your stay in Geneva.
