Museum of Fine Arts
This museum, known in German as the Kunstmuseum, comprises the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art and focuses on two periods: from the fifteenth to the sixteenth century and from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century. In addition, it is the world’s very first public municipal museum to have opened and it houses the world’s largest collection of artworks from the Holbein family. The Museum of Contemporary Art also has prestigious artworks from artists like Pablo Picasso and Rodin.
